"Marcus Fenix DESERVES Gold!" 2009-07-18

If you are a fan of the Gears of War (GoW) videogames from Epic and Microsoft Game Studios then you obviously know about the wonderful line of action figures associated with GoW being produced by Neca. What you may not know is just how much improvement Neca has added to these figures with each successive wave. This particular version of Marcus comes from wave 3, and is quite possibly the best GoW figure yet produced!

Attention to detail is what separates Neca from other toy companies, and this figure is no exception. Added articulation in Marcus's arms give way to tons of posing possibilities, but it is the new sculpts that really make this figure shine. His GoW 2 head-sculpt is spot on. Whereas before Marcus had a somber expression on his face, now he sports a gritty, angry, teeth-bearing scowl; perfect for delivering orders to his squad-mates. Another item that has been updated is the famous Lancer Assault Rifle. Now the rifle has newly sculpted sights, a (sorta) longer barrel, and a brand new handle that looks much closer to the actual in-game models and makes it fit nice and snug in Marcus's hands. Also the Lancer has a new peg on the left side so that Marcus can attach it to his back - just like the game!

As usual the paint applications are almost flawless. The armor is dirty and battle-worn, the boots are covered in mud, and the overall color scheme is really quite impressive in comparison to his video-game counterpart. If you have the regular edition of Marcus ver.3 his Lancer will have a realistic dirty wash over it and the chainsaw bayonet will be covered in blood splatter. Again the attention to detail is amazing.

This review is for the Marcus variant figure which comes with a golden lancer assault rifle. I believe this 'chase' figure was extremely short-packed thus making it a highly sought after collectible. What is a golden-lancer you ask? Well if you bought the collectors edition of Gears of War 2 then you were given an Xbox Live code for a free download of an in-game "Gold-plated Lancer" to use during online multi-player matches. Neca, being huge fans of the GoW franchise, threw in this little extra as fan-service and gave the world a "real" golden lancer. Now maybe in future waves of figures we will see a Golden Hammerburst :)

I was fortunate enough to pick up this rare variant, but don't spend time and gobs of money searching for this one (unless of course you can find it at an awesome price) because with or without the gold lancer this version of Marcus is THE standard for GoW figures. I guarantee that if you are a fan of the game, then you will be elated when you get this figure in your hands. I can't say it enough, the attention to detail is outstanding, and any self-respecting Gear-head must own this gem. Don't hesitate, this figure is worth every penny!

I haven't opened this one yet, but I gotta say the lancer looks very gold in person. I am really fortunate to have got this figure before vendors started noticing it in the boxes and when they were received by luck. paid only 9.99 for it. Now I gotta spend 9.99 for the regular version so I can have a regular series 3 Marcus to open!

Awesome! This is better by far that the first 12" Fenix! The light up armor is way cool! This belt buckle was pretty crappy. First of all its very heavy. Second the pin that hooks into the belt is pretty wide, which makes it hard to put it in. The two factors make it pretty hard to wear. Its not completely god awful, but you'd be better spending your money on something else

These are very durable and detailed, however there is very little articulation so the series of figures aren't exactly action figures but better suited for display. This figure is just cool! Very detailed. I got it, along with the 15-inch Fenix for my son. I may have to keep it and put it on my shelf. Originally, I ordered this product expecting it to be the 15 inch figure, as it is advertised, only to get it and having it turn out to be the 7-inch figure. I wasn't very happy with this so I e-mailed the seller. I got a very fast response, they took the blame in not getting the ad straightened out, and gave me a prompt refund, PLUS, let me keep the figure! These figures from NECA are just plain realistic to the game.

I am a collector of Gears of War stuff...so everything I own is Brand New, Never Opened. My friend has a couple of these and they are the most durable figures I have ever seen. Not a lot of articulation, but still cool! I have the entire Series 1 figures including the Comic-Con Exclusive Anthony Carmine figure. My opinion, if you are going to buy these, do NOT open them. They are more on the rare side of figures. Buy a Ninja Turtle at the store, but try and buy a Gears of War figure at the store...

I love grunts, but see no point as in to purchase it for 100 dollars, no matter what. I have seen others with it, and think they are crazy for paying so much for 5 inches of detailed plastic.

This figure is nothing short of perfect.

Scale is true compared to Spartans and other Halo universe inhabitants.

The detail is insane and it's arguably the most pose-able in the series.

No problems with gun holding, and both the back "fin" and face mask rebreather elements are removable.

Like others in the series, though, it's a display type piece and probably wouldn't hold up too well to actual play.

Hopefully it will be reissued, as Grunts need representation in numbers to fulfill their true potential.

This item, as usual, got to me in only a few days, but this one, in my opinion, is not as cool as the Damon Baird action figure. All of the main parts of his body show articulation, head, torso, arms, legs and feet but this one is very top-heavy. You must spread the legs rather wide to get him to stand by himself, and the hands aren't shaped to hold weapons as well. The detail however, is Fantastic. Absolutely Superb. He very well resembles the game's character, but if you had to choose, I would recomend Baird.

This is really cool. All his main joints move, but he is still really sturdy. My jaw dropped at the detail of this plastic 7 inch figurine. This is Marcus Fenix from the video games Gears of War and Gears of War 2. I recommend this item to all hardcore Gears of War fans.

These days i recommend not buying mcfarlane figures online. There Quality Control & Customer service is sub par these days. When you do get a decent figure it is amazing. Most defects i am talking about are serious mold or paint defects anyone can tell. Stuff that would bother even the non collector. I bought 3 of these only 1 is defective with a hand broken off. The store would not take the return cause i opened it. I did not know it was broken until i opened it. Mcfarlane was not helpful..

I namely bought this because: 1. I love Halo 3, 2. I need the parts to try and make the Spartan I use in Halo 3, 3. McFarlin makes some of the best figures. It is highly detailed and articulated, but be aware the joints in the hands are the weakest point. Either way it is a very nice figure, and (in my case) looks great on display.

Be warned there quality control if you call it that is really bad now. I bought a lot of halo 3 series 1 figures 75% of them has defects people will notice. Most of the defects are for the Master Chiefs & Mark VIs. The rest of the line is in top shape. There is also a error in the orange grunt they glued the mask to the head. So do not do what i did break the mask & jaw off trying to get it off. The Green one comes off like it should. 30% of the defects i got are real bad the rest i can deal with. I suggest buying locally so you can actually look for broken hands or limbs. Also keep eyes out for mold defects & sections not painted or wrong paint on them.

Just a side note they are switching all there lines to cardboard packaging no more of the old ones. There goes buying them to collect sealed.

I own dozens of McFarlane Toys (Spawn, Robocop, etc...) and have come to expect exceptional quality, artistry and craftsmanship from this brand. Unfortunately, the Halo series of toys have failed to meet the high standards many of us McFarlane fans have become accustomed to. They are cheap looking and are far less detailed then the Spawn or Army figurines. These toys are designed to be articulable at 18 points and while this may seem cool, in reality, there are very few articulations that result in a cool pose. Furthermore, all the articulable joints make the characters look awkward-like those WWF or GI Joe figures that have deformed joints and disproportionate body parts.

It's worth noting that Microsoft Inc. (who's logo is present on the toys) may have had too much control over the design and overall production of these figurines (thus effectively undercutting McFarlane's ability to design these figurines).

Whatever the case or the reason, this set of figures is a rare miss for an exception action figure maker.

This figure is really detailed. It has a beam rifle that can be put on its back. it also has a spot on its leg for a plasma pistol, but it doesn't come with one. the only bad thing is that the hand holding the rifle is basically a fist and is almost impossible to put the gun in. also, jackals are left handed, while the figure is right handed, same with the drone action figure. Once the gun is in its hand (with trouble) though, it looks fine

I bought this figure because I love Halo 3 and needed something for my Spartans to shoot at. It is highly detailed from top to bottom. One of the small features of this (and others of the series) is little plastic pegs that can be used to mount the weapons to the figures' back or leg. This is a well made figure and looks great on display.

So I got this thing and opened it up. It has a lightup base I had to see in action. Well, that was a disappointment. There are 3 LEDs aiming at the figure, and they are all to dim to do much of anything. They are slightly different colors if you look carefully too -- leading me to think some guy in a shop was just soldering in LEDs from a bluish grab bag. I don't know how they got that picture for Amazon, it doesn't look like that unless you put it in a special lighting stage of some sort. I ended up setting the thing in front of a lamp, which does an okay job I guess... but don't expect the lightup base to do it for you. This is a novel idea for a statue that failed miserably IMO.

The durability seems good for a statue though. It is a nice rubbery thing that won't break easily.

Cortana is awesome, and unfortunately this little statue does her no justice.

When I saw "light-up base," I got it in my head that the white area at her feet lit up. Not so. There are three little LEDs in the front, which light her unevenly and at a weird angle, bringing out the seams on the plastic on the side of the statue.

Getting the battery in also proved to be an adventure. The screw to the battery compartment would not come out, and I ended up disassembling the entire base and having someone else turn the tiny screw while I held wires in place with one hand and pushing the other end of the screw out with a flathead screwdriver. In case you're wondering, that's why I gave it a "2" on education, because you'll learn a little bit on electrical work. *sighs*

Once you do get past all that though, the statue does look pretty decent, and makes a nice addition as a night light for the kids or, in my case, a cool accessory in your man cave.

What can I possibly say ??? I have a soft spot for anything Halo related. Spent many hours playing the Trilogy & reviewing all the material that's available on-line, studying the art work ... & once it's all said & done ... Halo is not just another frivolous video game that is here today & gone tomorrow ... the entire franchise can be truly described as a work of art from start to finish. This item is a definite collector's item & shouldn't be purchased with small children in mind. The overall quality of the molding is outstanding as the attention to detail. A very nice replica of an imagine transferred from a "virtual" world to a physical world. 5 stars out of 5 stars.

I rated this the way I did simply because it is such an amazing collectors item. True Halo fans will want to make this a part of their collection. This is a very rare action figure, second only the the Grunt which is from Series 1 as well. As far as it being a durable, educational, or fun toy I don't know, since mine is still in its original packaging and will remain there. This is a great investment as the value on this action figure has continued to rise. Get it while you can!

So, i bought this figure for several reasons, foremost of which it just looks awesome

and having gotten it home, it does

it looks awesome

but looks can be decieving

there are a couple problems with this thing

most notable of which is the right hand

the pictures show it holding the hammer, yet mine came glued together, and i actually had to cut the thumb away from the fingers

that being said, the individual peices on this thing are very high quality plastic

i am somewhat afraid of breaking it, but i'll explain that in my next point

the articualtion is a brain teaser

some of it is standard, the ankles move, the knees move, the chest moves, and the shoulders bend

but they crammed a lot of articulation into a timy figure, and that means that figuring out what piece rotates is a pain in the patuki

and it doesn't hold the hammer with both hands, only the left

but

the hammer rocks

like

really

it just plain rocks

the detail and painting is fantastic, and the peg hole for attatching it to the backs of characters is practicly invisable

also, the plastic gives enough that extranious bits like the prongs on the head and arm shield have little fear of breaking or falling off

all in all, this is a great figure for display, albiet somewhat awekwardly (i've found using the hammer as a guitar works well :D)

this toy is alright for play, not the best thing, but not horrible either

Opened my figure only to have the hammer come out in two pieces. The top half must have broken in transit to the store where I bought him. The figure and hammer were securely fastened in the packaging with tape and twist ties. It is nothing a little glue did not fix but I'm afraid if the hammer takes a fall or dropped it can break again. Figure looks great and well articulated.

something i'd like to point out real quick

none of the figures have the right weapons and/or gear pictured or listed

well

except the covies

all the spartans are just totally screwed up

i've got three other figures with them, and to to tell you the truth they're annoying,

they're tiny, easily lost if removed, and they take up a valuable storage spot on spartans

grenades are over rated

that being said

this guy is fantastic

i've read some of the other reviews about how he isn't meant for children's play etc etc and that's true

but i mean come on

he's from a video game that s around killing vast quantities of people

of course he's not designed for 4 and 5 year olds

despite this, he is incredably durable

i bought him at Alakazam around when the first series came out, so that i could have someone to fight my brute chieftain, and i've been playing with him every day practicly

i've dropped him out of helicopters, pitted him against thousands of clones

(i'll be the first to admit i still play with toys, yes, you nerds out there, we can all admit it now)

and he still holds up

in fact, i like him the best out of all nine of my guys (six spartans, two brutes, and the grunt)

the painting is the most acurate to the game i've seen, with a sort of bronze/green remeniscent of the E3 announcement trailer, and the articulation means you can replicate any action pose, or any ragdoll, from the game

his AR is sturdy, and fits incredably well into his hand, loose enough to allow for a fast melee, but tight enough not to fall out at the slightest touch, and his molding is supurb, down to the nicks and scratches of his armor

all in all, this is the exact figure to get your die hard Halo fan

be it the old school CE devotee, or the noob Halo 3 fanatic

The Blockhead Hit Kit is a set of accessories designed for use with the Rock Band (and only the Rock Band) drum kits. All of the items will work with any of these kits, including the Rock Band kits across the Wii, 360, and PS2/3. Inside the box you'll find a pair of composite drumsticks, a set of drum head silencers, and an adjustable bass pedal that can serve as a replacement to the one you already have. The accessories really are hit or miss.

The drumsticks are actually quite nice. They are made of a composite fiber and as such are heavier than the wooden sticks that come with the game. It all comes down to personal preference on whether you'll like these more than the default RB sticks.

The silencing drum pads are more of a miss. They consist of a thin foam pad that goes on top of each head, and then a separate rubber ring that stretches over the top and holds the pads in place. The setup fits quite nicely. It's not too hard to install or remove, and yet it's snug enough to remain in place during gameplay. And they really do reduce the sound, changing it from the old hollow plastic tink to more of a light thunk. Um... well just imagine what a hard stick hitting a thin piece of foam sounds like and you've got it. The real problem with the silencers is that your hit detection will go down. Sure, you're playing quieter, but now you'll really have to hit your drumset hard to get the game to recognize it. For those who have used the Guitar Hero drumset, it requires a hit even harder than that to get these things to register. If you absolutely need a quieter gaming experience, then I'd go with these, but otherwise I suggest you don't use these.

Last in the box is the bass pedal. This was the surprise for me, because overall I liked these. The pedal can be set to one of two height settings, which doesn't seem like it would be a big thing, but it is. Some of my friends prefer the lower setting, while I like to play with the pedal on the higher setting. The pedal is just as responsive as the original Rock Band pedal, although dimension-wise it's shorter, which means that for most people it just won't feel as good. Over several months of gameplay for me, the pedal is still holding strong, which is surprising because it looks sort of flimsy. (It's outlasted two standard RB pedals and a GH pedal, though, so I'm giving it the thumbs up in quality.) An interesting note is that it does not come with a springy cord like the original Rock Band pedal, even though the image on the box shows that it does. The cord never really gets in the way, but still a headsup.

Overall, the drumsticks are hit and miss, the silencers are a miss, and the pedal is a hit. If you need a cheap replacement bass pedal, and you want a few other toys to play with, I'd recommend this kit. Otherwise, there are other things you can buy that will work better than this.

I am not the only one who found the OE foot pedal unreliable, and that was the primary reason that I purchased this.

And considering my primary reason for the purchase; the package is a great deal!

The adjustable pedal makes for a much more reliable input since you can take a lot of the looseness or play that was in the original pedal.

The drumsticks are nicer than the original, as they look and feel nicer but more importantly they are quieter when drumming.

The foam pads are not that great...but I really like them since they quiet the banging even more...well, after I taped them on with black masking tape.

The worse thing about it is the rubber rings that fit around the drum to hold the foam pads down as these just slip off. If there were a trick to keep them on, I would probably use that, and they would be great.

But overall for [...] bucks I am pretty happy. I figure the pedal is worth $[...], and they sticks [..]$. And I did not have to (1)pay shipping or (2)wait for them since I picked them up at Best Buy.

This gives me the responsiveness that I was looking for in a foot pedal at a good price.

I bought this precisely to replace the flimsy drum pedal which came with Rock Band 1. Well, the game didn't recognize the drum pedal so we returned it. From the look of it, the pedal wouldn't have survived long anyway. More flimsy plastic. I recommend buying the Rock Band Roadie Drum Foot Pedal instead. It's made entirely of metal, like a real drum kit pedal, so it can withstand actually drumming. Let's face it, when you're in hard or expert mode, you basically ARE drumming. User error my butt.

Let me start with the good: the packaging for the Hit Kit is wonderfuly coloured and eye catching. Now, the rest: the reason i wanted this product was for the drum head covers mainly and the graphite sticks. The "covers" only cover the hard plastic rims of the heads...the pads in the kit ( of which i only had three colours) float inside these "rim covers" and quickly fold up from repeted strikes becoming more of a distraction than asset to the game. Overall, i want my money back...not from the seller but the manufactor.

Honestly, I found this at a great deal for about $15. Well, I thought it was a good deal until the thing came in the mail WEEKS later. It was puny! Almost key chain sized! I really should have read the review from Luis before purchase. While it is exquisitely detailed, the image on amazon makes it seem a lot bigger. The dimensions listed in the product description do not list the units of measurement so I expected something larger. It has a good weight to it, but the stand is really thin plastic.

I suggest you don't buy this unless you're a hardcore fan of the battle rifle.

First I'd like to inform anyone thinking of purchasing this figure that the picture shown is with the silver armor color. The actual figure is not lucky enough to look like that. Its actually a flat white color, with steel colored shoulder pieces.

The figure looks great and I have no problems with this one that i dont have with any of the others. All of them are easily breakable, and the weapons are hard to actually hold... So i just attach them to their backs via the pegs.

Other than some mild paint flaws and the cheapness of how they are made, these are fantastic figures. Ive gotten around 13 myself.

If you haven't picked up a Spartan from McFarlane's line yet, the Spartan Mk. VI is as great a place as any. The figure has an amazing amount of mobility and articulation for such a detailed figure. The only two drawbacks I had with the figure are the shoulder armor and the weapon. While the torso, helmet, and shoulders can all be swapped out the shoulder plates fall off too easily. As for the weapon, my problem is that it doesn't have more. For a game focusing so much on the weapons it's rather backwards you only get one gun.

Great figure, good value.

I got lucky and found a good deal on this about a year ago.

I was a little nervous about it because I had seen a couple bad reviews and it was the non microsoft adpater. Hover it was easy to setup and works perfectly. I've never had a single problem at all.

I've also recently found out I can use it on my Series 2 Tivo.

This shipped extremely quickly and was very easy to plugin. Its slightly bigger than the official xbox 360 adapter, but uses the ethernet jack instead of a usb port, which is useful if you have other accessories that need to be plugged into those. It sets up just like a wireless router, so it only takes a few minutes to get running. I have been extremely satisfied with this product.

i purchased many gaming adapters and they all perform about the same,but the major difference is the only adapters that use b/g/N transmission is the xbox version and the linksys version,if you have a really fast internet connection you wont notice a difference,unless you place the adapter far from your router,or play online games with the maximum of players in a match..The linksys version is 89 to 100 dollars new.this is great product if you want acceptable performance at a budget price.the microsoft version performs equal to this model but it uses b/g/N.

We bought this unit to hide our gaming equipt. and house the drum kit for rock band. It has worked great in both aspects. The only downside is that the posts that the drums mount on were bent out a bit and were also a bit too big to slide on the drums easily. My husband bent the poles back in and then we used wd40 to slide the drums on fully, which is a must b/c if they aren't fully seated on the mounting poles the top will catch on them (something that others have complained of in other reviews). Otherwise everything is working great and all our stuff is stored in one spot finally!

I had been eyeing the Rock Box for quite a while, as when it initially came out I thought

it was a bit spendy. Since then it has come down quite a bit in price. I finally caved

and bought it and was pleasantly surprised.

About Me: I typically play drums on hard and have a tendency to play the kit hard.

The regular rock band 2 kit has a tendency to drift on me, which I counter with a rug

and some hand weights.

The Rock Box is solidly constructed, and very easy to transition into drumming with. You can't

really tell from the description on this, but the lid doesn't come off, its on hinges that allow

it to slide forward, which i really liked since it kept everything together. One weird item not shown

in the picture is this odd thin pad that velcros to the bottom of the ottoman which is supposedly meant

to form a seat with the lid of the box. I dont see the point of this, and have put the pad in the basement.

Pros:

* Smart design, easy to take out and put away even for a lazy person like myself.

* Lots of room for other equipment, i put my two guitars, mic, mic stand in there

with no problems.

* Leather looks fine. I with they had it in the dark brown like it was originally advertised, but I

will get by with black.

* Special slots for guitars make it super easy to access them.

* No more instrument clutter!!!

Cons:

* This probably needs to be used like a coffee table considering its size, but the top is not

super firm. I'm shopping for a serving tray so that i could put drinks on it without them tipping over.

* Wooden feet could use rubber on the bottom to reduce kit slide and also to not scuff my wood floors.

* That extra seat pad thing is pointless.

* Although my mic stand fit okay since it was a straight pole, there wouldn't be a way to fit a boom

mic style stand.

* Still need to solve the kick pedal not being attached issue. As long as it is directly in front of

me its fine, but it tends to drift when off to the side. Might buy an after market replacement.

* Will not fit the add-on cymbal kit (rock box lid doesn't want to close with those attached. I hated

the add-on cymbals anyway, so this was not a problem for me. But if someone came out with add on cymbals that easily detached there is plenty of storage space for them.

I bought my Playseats Evolution Gaming Seat back in 2007 around the time that Forza 2 came out for the Xbox 360. I also purchased the Microsoft Xbox 360 wireless racing wheel. I also own a PlayStation 3 and a Logitech Driving Force Pro wheel that I have used with the seat.

I can't recommend this seat for the following reasons:

1. The included "seat" that gets mounted to the whole thing is very cheap and not even close to a real car seat. It comes "folded up" and you basically unfold the back section. Because of this, there is a metal rod that runs across right where my backbone hits the chair. Since this is a "cheap" chair, it does not have very good lumbar support and after a few races my back really begins to feel the metal rod.

2. The steering wheel mount is designed to pivot up and down, but it is very hard to get the bolt tight enough to keep it from pivoting up and down when you're actually using the seat. Occasionally you'll have to yank up on your wheel to pull this mount back into position.

3. Wheel support & Nickle and Diming. The Xbox 360 racing wheel I purchased with the seat didn't mount well and I had to hack together a solution using some foam material (craft store) and particle board. Eventually I made it work. Since I bought my seat, I see that Playseats has introduced a 360 wheel mount solution (for extra money) as well as seat rail sliders, stick shift holders, etc. For $300 all of this stuff should be included. Especially with how low quality the seat actually is.

The Xbox 360 pedals work fine w/ the pedal mount if you jam them back under the lip which causes some scuffing and wear to the pedals. The Logitech Driving Force Pro wheel works well with the steering wheel mount but there is no reasonable way to attach the pedals. I don't believe zip-ties and velcro are an acceptable mounting solution (though PLENTY are included).

4. This may come down to personal taste, but, the between the legs design results in a very flimsy, unstable feel to the whole thing.

As some other reviewers have mentioned, I also wondered if I received a "used" product. My box was very badly damaged (but everything inside was okay).

If you can pick this up for $150-200 and are willing to put some work into it (replacing/fixing the seat rod issue, welding the steering wheel mount so it doesn't pivot, etc) then it might be a decent value.

This is a great product. Very easy to assemble with a multitude of wheel and pedal positions. Very comfortable seat and super cool looking. I have an Xbox 360 steering wheel, I did not purchase the adapter plate and you do not need it. The zip ties that are supplied with the chair are sufficient to attach the wheel and pedals to the frame. Don't waste your money. The construction is very solid. I weigh in at 225lbs. and there is no wobbling at all. I race every night and when I'm done I find myself still sitting in the chair watching tv, it's that comfotable. Before I forget my cat digs it to. When I get up she jumps in after I've warmed it up!! If your looking to make an investment in a racing chair you can't go wrong with this one!

I was a little skeptical about the quality, I'm 193 cm tall and 240 pounds (113 kg) and I'm not the most gentle driver. My biggest concern was that the construction would be too flimsy and the whole thing would wobble or bend. Once I was using it I was positively surprised, it more solid than I thought. Yes it moves a little, but it doesn't take you out of the game at all.

The adjustments for different drivers is easy enough and quick. Even my 7 year old can drive in it comfortably. With some extra padding you can make it work for even younger drivers.

This sear is designed for the Logitech G25 wheel. There are holes and screws for the G25 so installing it was super easy. Overall the whole assembly didn't take very long.

The seat itself is very nice and comfortable and seems solid enough even for my size and weight. It folds in the middle for easy storage, but don't expect too much, even when folded the whole setup is pretty large.

The driving experience with this seat and the Logitech G25 is just pure joy. I have finally found the right setup and I think this combo gives you a very good price/performance ratio. I have tried much more expensive seats that were in no way better. If you are into race games this is the thing to have!

A few words about accessories. The gear shift holder is a must have for the G25. The seat adjust rails are a waste of money. They don't work properly but you don't really need them anyway. Between drivers you'll have to adjust the pedal distance and steering wheel plate anyway so the gliding seat doesn't add anything.

The carpet is also not really useful. It's pretty narrow and I don't see the use of it if your room has a carpet floor already. If you have hard wood floor (like I do) just use adhesive felt pads and you are all set.

I read lots of reviews that said the Playseat Evo was worth the $299 price, and I have to agree. Sure, I would love to pick one up at $199, or even $149, but I certainly feel like it's worth $299 after putting it together and adding a G25 wheel. Very comfortable seat, and high quality construction. I highly recommend. If the price ever does drop again, I'll pick up another one to add some flight controls to for flight sims.
